KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)

People often seek ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) when they're looking to:

  • Break through persistent depression or anxiety that hasn't improved with traditional treatment methods.

  • Release emotional numbness or chronic stress, accessing deeper feelings beyond the limits of talk therapy alone.

  • Explore and safely process traumatic experiences, finding new perspectives and paths toward healing from PTSD.

  • Gain clarity and insight when feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed by life's challenges.

  • Catalyze meaningful change, using ketamine's temporary shifts in perception to foster lasting emotional growth.

  • Reconnect deeply to themselves, softening rigid mental patterns to access new layers of self-awareness and personal insight.

How it Works

Ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) is an emerging and research-supported approach that blends the use of ketamine—a legal, medically prescribed medicine—with psychotherapy in a safe, structured, and supportive setting.

Research suggests that KAP can be especially helpful for people experiencing treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and certain forms of chronic stress or emotional numbing. It may also support personal growth, self-reflection, and healing for those feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed by life’s challenges.

In a ketamine-assisted therapy session, you’ll work closely with a trained therapist to prepare for the experience, set intentions, and create a sense of emotional safety. During the session, ketamine is used to temporarily shift perception, soften mental defenses, and open access to deeper layers of awareness and emotion. This can allow for insight, emotional release, and new perspectives that are hard to reach through talk therapy alone. Integration sessions afterward help you make sense of the experience and carry the insights into your daily life.

This work isn’t a quick fix, but for many, it offers a powerful catalyst for healing and change. If you're curious whether ketamine-assisted therapy might be a good fit for you, I’d be glad to connect.

Ketamine is not the therapy. It is the catalyst. The therapy is what we do with the experience—how we prepare for it, how we support it, and how we integrate it into the story of our lives.
